Mackenzie is an award-winning entrepreneur, interior designer and business coach. As the founder of Mackenzie Collier Interiors, her unique approach to design and business sets her apart from other business owners as she leads with her core values of community building, positivity, and integrity. Now that her business is well-established, she has expanded to offer business coaching as well.

Throughout her career, Mackenzie has gained a reputation for her unique approach to creating spaces that reflect her clients’ distinctive styles & interests. With a diverse portfolio of both residential and large-scale commercial projects, she has honed her skills in space planning and project management, placing emphasis on universal design practices and sustainability.

Mackenzie has built her business with her core values of community building, positivity, and integrity in mind. She teaches and speaks nationally about business practices and interior design and is part of an ever-growing community of business owners who are expanding beyond the traditional business model. She is a firm believer that the best design solutions are also the simplest and that kindness always comes back to you.

While you may not see Mackenzie at your design meetings, she will absolutely be working with our team of designers on your project. MCI has a structured design process, which includes presenting each project to our entire team at several different points throughout the design process. Our culture of collaboration works really well to minimize project-related errors and maximize creative solutions on every project. Mackenzie will give input, request modifications and work alongside the designers to ensure that you are thrilled with the results!

Logic doesn’t produce magic.

Bucket list destination or place you want to visit:
I’ve already knocked out most of my travel bucket list, thankfully, but one thing I’ve never seen that I’m dying to is bioluminescence in the ocean!

What is your biggest fear?
Wasting Time

If you could learn one new skill, what would it be?
I really want to learn photography

What is your favorite local shop/restaurant in Phoenix?
I love Monsoon Market! Perfect spot for snacks and thoughtful gifts!

What or who is your source for creative inspiration?
Adventures in nature. Nature has already solved every design problem, so if you go exploring, you’ll find exactly what you need.

Proudest moment as a business owner?
Attending the grand opening of my first commercial project, DeSoto Central Market. It was so gratifying to see the community experiencing and enjoying the space we had worked so hard to design.
