Inspired by our client’s irreverent personality and bold aesthetic, this Barbie pink kitchen in Thousand Oaks, California was an interior designer’s dream project. Knowing that this is her forever home, our client was able to embrace her lifelong passion for Barbie Pink instead of worrying about the resale value of her home—how fun! We kept the design elevated by balancing the slab-style blush pink cabinetry with a white picket tile backsplash, geometric brass tab hardware and terrazzo countertops. We ran the terrazzo countertops up the wall behind the hood of the stove to add a bit of fun. Floating shelves allow the client to display her vintage Pyrex collection. We love the bubble glass dining pendant that hangs over the island. This doll-house-inspired kitchen remodel is the perfect balance of fun and sophistication for this young, fun family.
