Nestled in the mountains in Fountain Hills, Arizona, the Sonoran Luxe project provides the perfect vacation-home escape for a Canadian family to gather. This new-build home was completely empty, so they enlisted the help of MCI to select furnishings, art and accessories for the space as well as manage the installation of the project while the family was back home in Canada. The family’s goal was to keep the space as neutral and elevated as possible, using only cream, white, black, and brown with metallic accents. Now that the children were mostly grown, they were embracing their dream sofa—a cream Cloud sofa from Restoration Hardware and custom wool rugs handwoven in Turkey. The space is transitional in style, balancing modern elements with a lived-in traditional feel. To keep the space from feeling too stark, the MCI team layered in natural textures inspired by the desert surroundings and paid attention to highlighting the Sonoran views.
