Located in the bustling downtown Phoenix arts district, Roosevelt Row, Greenwood Brewing is proud to be the first 100% women-owned brewery in Arizona! The founder, Megan Greenwood enlisted the help of MCI to ensure that the design of the taproom as well as the beer garden and courtyard reflected her distinct vision - a brewery that was designed for women that is comfortable and welcoming to men as well. Megan’s goal was to create a space where the community could gather and connect over a beer. The MCI team kept the color palette for the taproom airy and mostly neutral, simply incorporating the brand’s signature green color in the barstools. You’ll find natural elements, like the carrera marble backsplash and the natural wood bartop & millwork add texture and make the space feel more inviting. Thoughtful details include a white beadboard feature wall and custom signage around the market area & taps. Brass accent lighting adds an element of sophistication to the space. We designed custom large-scale arc pendant lights that sit over the bar that were fabricated by a local downtown Phoenix artist, Ruben Gonzales of 11th Monk3y. This downtown Phoenix adaptive reuse project is now a staple of the RoRo neighborhood and the inviting design welcomes in all passersby.
